Trying new beauty products is all in a day’s work for us here at a-beauty. We love putting products through their paces all in the name of glowing skin, better hair, fluffier brows, and everything in between. Every now and again there are products that truly impress us and earn themselves a permanent spot in our routines.

In this series we share with you our current beauty obsessions for the month.

This May, we’re starting to feel the effects of winter coming so we've upped our hydration efforts and updated our makeup colours and home fragrances to embrace the change in season.

My May obsession: MV Skintherapy Hand Rescue

“As winter closes in I am finding my hands - and in particular, my cuticles - are getting a bit dry and in serious need of some TLC. This luxe hand treatment really is an SOS for my hands, nails and cuticles this month - it has become my handbag staple. It keeps my hands feeling hydrated and moisturised but also smelling like roses with a hint of citrus.”

My May obsession: Lumira Tuscan Fig Candle

“I know heavier, woody and oriental fragrances are the usual go-to for the cooler months but I am loving Lumira’s Tuscan Fig scent right now. Rather than putting me in a hibernating mood, its uplifting fragrance is helping me hold onto those energising summer vibes just a little longer. It's a warm and fresh fragrance with grounding earthy notes. Love!”

My May obsession: My Tribe Type Wild + Free Adaptogenic Botanical Oil

“I usually use oils year-round and Wild + Free has been the perfect heavier oil to introduce into my autumn routine. I love using the organic jojoba and hemp oil on my combination skin to balance oil production and help prevent breakouts. I love how it leaves my skin looking plump and hydrated all day without becoming oily. I use it twice daily - in the morning and just before bed - and like to take a moment to slow down, breathe in the adaptogenic holy basil and frankincense, and reset as I apply it. It's hard to tell if the adaptogens have reduced my stress levels, but the ritual is certainly a welcomed addition to my routine.”

My May obsession: Ere Perez Carrot Colour Pot

“I’m a huge fan of Australian makeup artist Serena Wyllie’s work and how she achieves an amazing dewy and glowing look. The Carrot Colour Pots from Ere Perez are great for replicating her signature vibe. I love the peachy shade that Harmony gives my cheeks and lips - it’s the perfect hue for autumn.”
